Alpha Brain Side Effects | Safe Smart Drug or Potentially Dangerous?

I’ll be frank. Let’s not beat around the bush here, ladies and gentlemen. It’s good to know about Alpha Brain side effects.

Doing your research is always important.

But the reality of the situation? Well, Alpha Brain is safe. As one of the premier over-the-counter smart drugs on the market, many users experience little to no side effects when consuming Alpha Brain.

This stuff isn’t like Modafinil. We’re not talking a potent pharmaceutical drug designed to combat ailments like narcolepsy.

No way, Jose!

Alpha Brain is a solid over-the-counter (OTC) smart drug, but this stuff isn’t pharmaceutical-grade.

Sure, Alpha Brain works pretty darn well. But I’m not going to lie to you. It’s a beginner smart drug. A gateway nootropic.

These days I use Alpha Brain when cycling Modafinil and other smart drugs. It’s not my go-to nootropic, but it works well on days where I’m looking to get 4-6+ hours of pure focus and energy.

But enough with the fluff, let’s dive into this piece on Alpha Brain side effects and see how safe this OTC nootropic really is.

P.S: I’m not a doctor. This is not medical or legal advice, mate. At all. Whatsoever. As such, always consult a medical professional before consuming any smart drugs, like Alpha Brain and/or Modafinil. Oh, and make sure to dig into my disclaimer, por favor!

What is Alpha Brain?

Well, that’s pretty simple. As one of the premier over-the-counter smart drugs available on Amazon, Alpha Brain rapidly rose to popularity after it hit the market in 2011.

Created by Onnit Labs, the nootropic is insanely popular in many circles due to high praise and endorsements from Joe Rogan – among other celebrities.

But let’s not beat around the bush here, the real reason this smart drug has found popularity is because the stuff actually works.

Alpha Brain offers strong and useful benefits like:

  • Enhanced memory and retention
  • Increased focus
  • Improved productivity
  • …And much more!

To top it all off, Alpha Brain is one of a handful of nootropics that have been scientifically proven to work (Source).

Overall, this nootropic is perfect for people new to smart drugs and looking for something a little stronger than a cup of coffee. Alpha Brain is ideal when you want to enhance the mind for 4-6+ hours.

Is Alpha Brain Safe?

Well, that typically depends on who you ask. But I’ll chime in real quick with my take on whether Alpha Brain is safe or not.

Personally, I’ve found Alpha Brain to be one of the safest smart drugs on the market. Is it the best nootropic I’ve tried? No.

But I feel quite confident saying you should find many Alpha Brain side effects and there’s legit zero chance you’ll have a serious medical concern after taking this nootropic. Although, I’m no doctor.

Most users report very few side effects on Alpha Brain, and I’ve yet to find a source where users had significant issues.

Overall, I can’t find a single course of information that states any major medical issues from Alpha Brain. No hospitalizations, no death, no overdose issues. Nothing.

TL:DR – Everyone reacts to things differently, but Alpha Brain is quite safe overall.

Alpha Brain Side Effects

Common Alpha Brain Side Effects

Even though this is one of the safer smart drugs, there’s no doubt a few minor Alpha Brain side effects may pop up from time to time.

That’s just how life goes when using nootropics. Luckily, you won’t see any serious issues with this one.

Here are seven common Alpha Brain side effects to look out for:

  • Nausea

Personally, this was one of the Alpha Brain side effects I dealt with. I had minor nausea and stomach pain when using Alpha Brain for the first time.

Luckily, minor just meant one time using the restroom and everything was good. This only occurred the first time I used the nootropic. After that, I was all good.

A few people experience nausea when taking Alpha Brain. But it’s never severe and tends to go away once your body adjusts to the nootropic.

  • Headaches

I didn’t experience much in the way of headaches when taking this nootropic, but certain users experience minor headache issues with Alpha Brain.

From a little digging, I believe this is due to not drinking enough water while on the smart drug.

When taking a number of nootropics, you may get in the zone and forget about food and water intake. When this happens, it’s easy to get dehydrated and end up with a minor headache.

Just grab a water bottle and squeeze a lime in it while taking Alpha Brain. This will keep you hydrated and is a great source of electrolytes.

  • Jaw Pain

Jain pain can be a side effect of Alpha Brain. A few users experience this issue, often when the headaches first start to kick in.

Again, I believe this comes from being in the zone and tightening your jaw as you focus on a project for hours on end.

While I haven’t experienced this symptom, most users report the pain isn’t bad and goes away quickly.

  • Body Odor

This was one Alpha Brain side effect I did notice. My body odor was slightly changed and stronger on days I take the nootropic.

While this isn’t a huge deal, you don’t want to be stinking up the coffee shop or co-working space.

As such, make sure to apply a little extra deodorant when taking Alpha Brain and you should be good to go.

  • Nightmares

One of the more interesting side effects of Alpha Brain is the vivid dreams and nightmares many experience.

I never had this issue, but some users report crazy dreams and occasionally, a nightmare that wakes them from their slumber.

This is generally associated with a few of the main ingredients in Alpha Brain. Overall, this shouldn’t be a huge concern for most – unless you already have vivid dreams every night.

  • Jitters and Anxiety

With any nootropic, jitters and anxiety can pop up from time to time. This shouldn’t be a surprise.

I never got anxiety from Alpha Brain, but a little restlessness can be expected for the first 15-20 minutes when the smart drug kicks in.

Overall, you needn’t worry too much about this – as it goes away quickly and the work starts to flow immediately after.

Do note that those prone to anxiety should be cautious about taking any nootropics.

  • Sleeplessness

Lasy, but not least – you could experience sleeplessness when taking Alpha Brain. However, this effect should not be pronounced unless you do on thing wrong…

Take Alpha Brain at night!

Unless you want to stay up late or pull an all-nighter, try to only take Alpha Brain in the mornings or early afternoons.

The drug only kicks hard for 4-6+ hours, but you don’t want to take it at 7 pm and expect to be asleep before midnight.
